A Dynamic Group is based upon an IQA that you create and then assign a Group to which is refreshed nightly. Here are the steps you take to implement a Dynamic Group:

  1. First, create a query in IQA that returns all of the contacts matching the criteria needed to access the content you want to control.
  2. Once the initial query is created, click on the you can use it to create a group. [Requirements: At least one query source must include Contact Key column. Include NetContact business object as a source add Contact Key object as one of the columns in the display]
  3. Click on the ‘Group’ tab in IQA, and give your new group a unique name.
  4. Choose the Contact Key property from the dropdown for the contact key column. [Note: if your query contains more than one instance of NetContact, make sure you select the appropriate ContactKey]
  5. Click on the ‘Create Group’ button: iMIS will create the group and add the result set of the query to the group. [Note: Group names must be unique once all special characters are removed]
  6. You can also schedule automatic group refreshes by selecting an option from the dropdown next to “Refresh members every”. Choose: “Day”, “Week”, or “Month”.
